Home golf simulator packages
A simulator package is a launch monitor plus everything that catches the ball and shows the picture. The launch monitor sets the accuracy and the room you need. The rest sets the price. We go tier by tier, so you can see what each extra thousand dollars really buys.

What a package is, and what it isn't
Retailers sell simulator packages the way car dealers sell trim levels. The base is the launch monitor. The package wraps a hitting mat, an impact screen with an enclosure, a projector and sometimes a computer around it.
The bundle discount is real but small. The real value is that someone has already checked the fit. The projector throws the right size picture onto that screen, the mat lines up with the launch monitor, and the software license is included.
Rather pick each part yourself? The DIY build guide walks through the same list in order, and the cost builder adds it up.
What a package can't do is fix your room. A radar package needs 15 to 17 ft of depth, depending on the radar and whether you hang a net or a screen. A camera package needs 12 to 13 ft. Both need a ceiling of 9 to 10 ft.

Questions people ask
What comes in a golf simulator package?
You get a launch monitor, a hitting mat, and a net or an impact screen in an enclosure. Packages also bring a projector, a computer to run the software, and the software license. Retailers bundle these at a small discount and check that the parts fit each other.
Are golf simulators for sale as a complete kit?
Yes. Rain or Shine Golf, The Indoor Golf Shop and Carl’s Place all sell complete packages built around one launch monitor. They run from about $3,000 to well over $20,000. You can also buy every part on its own and build it yourself.
What is the best golf simulator package for the money?
For most rooms and budgets, we’d pick a package built around the SkyTrak+ or the Bushnell Launch Pro. Add a screen enclosure and a short-throw projector, and it lands at $4,000 to $7,000 all in. The $3,000 end of the tier means a closeout SkyTrak+, a screen on a frame and a laptop you already own.
